Bass Bowl

$70.00

No, this isn’t a fish bowl, it’s a bass-wood bowl, which comes from the linden tree. This bowl is a sculptural bowl that abandons the smooth, fair curves a traditional bowl in favor of straight lines and hard corners.

All of my bowls are made from locally sourced and responsibly harvested wood from the Ames and Des Moines Area. I take great pride in giving new life to old trees that needed to come down for one reason or another.

The bowl is finished with pure tung oil, which is a food-safe, all natural drying oil. Because it’s a drying oil, it bonds with the wood fiber, unlike mineral oil, which never dries. This will prolong the life of the bowl and will decrease the need for maintenance.

Dimensions (HxD): 4×9
