This end-grain, walnut cutting board is the perfect combination of beauty and functionality. End-grain cutting boards stand up better to heavy use and it’s large enough to handle any of your chopping and cutting needs.
All of my boards are made from locally sourced and responsibly harvested wood from the Ames and Des Moines Area. I take great pride in giving new life to old trees that needed to come down for one reason or another.
The board is finished with pure tung oil, which is a food-safe, all natural drying oil. Because it’s a drying oil, it bonds with the wood fiber, unlike mineral oil, which never dries. This will prolong the life of the board and will decrease the need for maintenance.
